“The Life and Opinions of Tristram Shandy, Gentleman” was a 9-volume novel written by Laurence Sterne in 1759 and published in segments over the next 10 years. The novel is seen as one of the greatest comic novels of all-time and used many interesting narrative devices to tell the story.

The book was adapted somewhat into the 2006 film A Cock and Bull Story which centered around a group of actors attempting make a film adaptation of the book.
